We have several different career opportunities across the Centre from working in the catering department, either preparing food or prepping the dining area and dish-washing.

Senior Catering Assistant/Chef

Details

Working hours between 16 to 30 hours over 7 days from 7am to 7pm.  This will involve a mix of straight & split shifts on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends.

Annualised from February to the end of season - approximately the end of November.

Uniform provided and all meals whilst on duty.

Wages depend on experience.

Requirements

Food hygiene certificate is an advantage along with NVQ in catering or equivalent.

Must be able to work on own as well as part of a team.

Duties

Food preparation including sandwiches, light meals & salads.

Serving and cooking breakfast, lunch & dinners to customers and colleagues.

General kitchen duties including washing up & cleaning.

Apprentice Production Chef

Details

Working to gain a Level 2 Production Chef Qualification. 

Working 30 hours over 5 days.  This will involve a mix of straight & split shifts on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends.

Uniform provided and all meals whilst on duty.

Possible start date 20th May 2019.

Requirements

GCSE's Grade C (or equivalent) in Maths & English is an advantage.

Great communication skills.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Duties

Food preparation including sandwiches, light meals & salads.

Assisting the Chef as required including food preparation, desserts and cooking of evening meals when required.

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinners to customers and colleagues.

General kitchen duties.

Senior Production Chef Apprentice

Details

Working to gain a Level 3 Senior Production Chef Qualification. 

Working 30 hours a week.  This will involve a mix of straight & split shifts on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends.

Uniform provided and all meals whilst on duty.

Possible start date 20th May 2019.

Requirements

A level 2 in Professional Cookery/Commis Chef.  Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process.

Great communication skills.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to work under pressure.

Duties

To assist as Chef.

General kitchen duties to include cleaning & washing up.

Preparation of home-made sweets when necessary.

Providing a salad bar to accompany each evening meal.
