
Please e-mail us with your prefered dates or call us on (01237) 475992 to discuss our current availability and make a provisional booking. We will then forward a booking form either by e-mail or post.
Once you have completed and returned your booking form with the relevant deposit we will confirm your booking in writing.
Residential outdoor activity courses:
Week £60 per person Weekend £40 per person
Daily outdoor activity courses:
Booking made more than 8 weeks prior to the activity day - 25% of the overall course fee is required to secure the booking.
Bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to the activity day - Full course fee is required to secure the booking.
N.B. Due to the complexity and individual tailoring of each course and to ensure we continue to offer you a personal service we have decided that it is not feasible to publish current availability or make the working groups list and activity options available on the website.
1. Payment of the deposit is taken as an agreement to these conditions
2. Deposits are non-refundable
3. Final balances are due 8 weeks before course start date.
4. Cancellation or curtailment for reasons of injury or illness may be covered by your own insurance.
5. Cancellation incurs the following charges:
a. more than 8 weeks proir to the course - Deposit
b. between 8 weeks and 2 weeks - 50% course fee
c less than 2 weeks - Full course fee.
6. In the unlikely event of the course being cancelled all monies will be refunded or you may choose to take an alternative course.
7. we reserve the right to terminate a booking without refund should participants cause a nuisance or disregard the few simple rules.
8. It is recommended that persons booking a course that includes watersports should be able to swim 50 metres.
9. Skern Lodge has extremely high standards of quality and safety. However, outdoor pursuits by their nature do contain some risk and course participants should be aware of this. Risk analysis on all activities is continually reviewed and procedures revised if required.
10. Personal belongings of course participants are their own responsibility and should be appropriate for an outdoor course. For example, insurance companies are unlikely to agree that damage to an Armani suit would be covered while abseiling!
Public Liability Insurance

Personal Course Insurance
It is your choice whether to take out Personal Insurance to cover such things as:
Some organisations already have such an Insurance Policy in place for all participants on all trips throughout the year. For example, this includes some LEA's, Independent Schools and large organisations. Please check if you are unsure.
