BY ROAD
We are around one hour from Junction 27 Tiverton on the M5, using the quick North Devon Link Road.  

From Junction 27 M5, follow signs to Barnstaple and then Bideford. After crossing the high level Torridge Bridge near Bideford, turn right at the roundabout and follow signs to Appledore.  Continue through Appledore village, along the Quay and continue on the same road. 400m after the last houses, Skern Lodge is clearly marked on your left.  Please drive slowly into the Centre.

BY RAIL OR COACH
Barnstaple is the nearest train station. Walk up to the main road and on the same side you can catch a bus to Appledore or Bideford (every 15 minutes). There is a taxi stand at the station.

Coaches run from most places in the country to Bideford.

GROUP TRAVEL
We can quote you competitive rates for return coach travel directly to the Lodge. We use a reputable local coach company with 16, 35 and 53-seater standard coaches or 49-seater executive, with toilet and video on board - all coaches are equipped with seat belts. Please phone for a quote.

British Rail should also be able to help you with group travel rates if travelling by train is more convenient for you. Arrangements can be made with us to collect you from the station.

Most groups have found their own minibuses, or coach travel to be the most practical way to travel.

Guests are requested not to arrive before 1pm for courses starting at lunchtime and 5pm for courses starting in the evening. Dinner is at 6pm.
