We use Mountain Bikes to explore the Tarka Trail. The Tarka Trail is a cycle path which links North Devon all the way down to Exeter in South Devon.
The Tarka Trail makes use of an old abandoned railway track which runs through some of the most beautiful scenery in England. It took its name from the 'Tarka the Otter' book whose characters lived in this area.
The stretch we cycle along follows the banks of the River Torridge around Instow and Torrington. The going is mostly flat so should be fairly easy for people of mixed age groups and abilities.
