‘Our week is something that our whole team look forward too now on a yearly basis.
This is mainly down to the approach and ethos of the staff team at Skern. Simon deserves a
special mention due to the way he is able to engage/challenge and generally interact with the
type of young people we bring to Skern. As well as the professionalism shown on the activities
he is also able to engage them in what I would describe as additional learning such as
wave formation, explaining group dynamics in a way that they understand, local historical,
geographical and environmental knowledge'
